Youth Event at the Montreal SPCA this summer

Do you know any youngsters with a passion for animals? This event is for them!

This summer, as part of a pilot project, our humane education team will be hosting an activity at the shelter for children aged 8 to 12!

A half-day at the shelter!
Cost: $50 per child (+ taxes and ticketing fees)
Target age group: 8 to 12 years
When: Sunday July 20 or 27 and Sunday August 17 or 24, 2025, from 9 a.m. to noon.
Duration: 3 hours

The activity will include an educational tour* of the shelter during which participants will be able to interact with the animals and learn more about important issues that affect them. After the tour, the children will take part in other fun activities designed to help the SPCA’s animals, as well as an educational workshop on cat behaviour.

The children will be given a plant-based snack mid-activity and a small goodie bag at the end.

*Please note that photos may be taken for promotional purposes during the tour. (By participating in this pilot project, the parent agrees that photos of their child may be featured in the Montreal SPCA’s communication tools. If, exceptionally, a restriction is necessary, please write to education@spca.com).

Our Humane Education team visits classrooms for presentations and interactive workshops.
